Dermal Filler

Dermal Filler

Dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring sugar found in your body. It combines with water in your skin to help smooth out facial lines and wrinkles, enhance lips and restore lost volume to cheeks, temples and the jawline.

Dermal Fillers are used to restore volume and augment areas of the face. Areas of augmentation may include:

  • Cheeks

  • Chin

  • Lips

  • Jawline

  • Marionette Lines

  • Liquid Facelift

*A liquid facelift using Dermal Filler allows us to dramatically reverse signs of aging and lift the face to soften mid-face heaviness and jowls. By strategically placing filler in multiple different areas and creating a treatment plan that focuses on facial balancing and harmonization the results are natural yet very impactful.

ADDITIONAL INFO & FaQ's

Dermal fillers are made up of a substance called Hyaluronic acid which is a gel like substance that is injected into the skin to add or restore volume where there is fat or collagen loss, and fill in wrinkles or folds. The hyaluronic acid that is used for injections is almost identical to that naturally found in the body and is completely biologically degradable.

How do fillers work?

A small amount of filler is expertly injected directly into the skin to add volume & restore skin's structure. Hyaluronic Acid is naturally integrated into the tissue and allows for the free passage of important nutritive elements like oxygen and hormones. The product will also bind water, which adds to the filling luminous effect.

How Long does the treatment take?

The treatment can be carried out immediately and takes about 30-45 minutes. Filler is injected with a very thin needle into the skin and beginning results can be seen immediately. Clients may or may not experience slight swelling or bruising in the treated area which lasts only a short period of time.

Are fillers Safe?

The hyaluronic acid is almost identical to that already present in the body. Since it is not made from animals there is no risk of transmitting diseases from animals, or eliciting allergic reactions to common foods such as eggs, meat or chicken. Immediately after the treatment the treatment site can be slightly swollen and/or red. This is a normal result of the injection, and goes away in a day or two after treatment, and within a week after lip injections. Remember, your Expert Injector to will preform a thorough consult before all treatments and review any associated risks.

how long do fillers last?

The filler dissolves naturally with time, and without touch-ups will eventually totally disappear from the body. How long a hyaluronic acid filler treatment lasts is very individual, depending on many factors such as the structure of the skin, lifestyle, age and metabolism. The types of fillers that I use typically last anywhere from 8 to 24 months, depending on which filler is used and in what location we are injecting. You can replenish the filler whenever you feel the need, as touch-ups can be performed any time after the initial treatment.
